Github’s new Text Editor, Atom.io is AWESOME! I’m a huge Sublime Text fan, but I think I’ll be making the switch to Github Atom as soon as a few little beta bugs are worked out.
This video is a first impression for Github Atom and what I love about it as a text editor for web development. Right out of the box, there’s Github Integration and a whole host of other features that make it a really cool text editor for a developer.
Not only is Atom a great looking editor, it’s built on coffeescript and node.js, so it will be super-easy to make packages for. It’s truly a great text editor, considering it’s still in the beta phase.
It’s clear one of their primary goals is to cater to web developers, being that packages are web language based.
