LIMITED XRAY TECH – OH 3877 URGENT CARE

Task Summary

Under general guidance of the LVN Supervisor, Website Supervisor and/or Radiology Supervisor this position will help physician/provider with all general medication or specialized medical practice tasks as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice.

As the minimal X-Ray Specialist carry out diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages and assumes responsibility for precision under the instructions of the radiologist; works effectively with clients and other clinic personnel. The restricted x-ray specialist is also accountable for all responsibilities associating with the darkroom.

Job Specific Essential Functions

Minimal X-Ray Tech Important Functions:

  • Perform diagnostic treatments within licensure; attaining a high level of image quality in a very little amount of time using appropriate anatomical markers.

  • Participates in and actively takes part in obligatory clinical/ organization department meetings/in-services, personnel meetings and assigned committees
  • Keeps current understanding of medications, garbage disposal and sterilized methods. 2%

  • Reacts to and takes part in all medical emergency situations and codes.

Restricted X-Ray Tech/MA Float

In addition to the above, will be accountable for the following:

  • The Minimal Xray Tech/MA Float will take a trip in between HMG areas according to requirements. Is versatile with schedule to accommodate unexpected schedule changes.

Restricted X-Ray Tech/MA Lead

In addition to the above, will be accountable for the following:

  • Carries out and records Department orientation of new staff member within thirty (30) days of employment. Customizes orientation as necessary to satisfy the requirements of the specific in addition to the Department.
  • Under the direction of the Site Supervisor or Website Supervisor and/or Hoag Radiology Department and/or Radiologist and in partnership with the Clinical Director, helps with ongoing competencies and education of LXTs
  • Under the direction of the Site Manager or Site Manager and/or Hoag Radiology Department, and/or Radiologist, coaches, counsels, and/or helps with progressive disciplinary procedure as required in a prompt way according to policy to remedy deficiencies/improve performance.
  • Takes part in regulatory and compliance maintenance to ensure quality care
  • Coordinates/participates in the interview and choice procedure of new LXT employee.
  • Position might need regional travel between various Organization places.
  • Position might need participating in conferences beyond regular service hours. Working nights, weekends and holidays will be needed per service requirements (Settlement will be awarded per hours worked according to the wage and hour laws).

Job Certifications

Education, Training and Experience

Needed:

  • High school Diploma or GED Required
  • Graduate of a State acknowledged employment School
  • Needs 2 years of experience as a Back Office Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Tech in an ambulatory care center or medical group practice.

Abilities or Other Credentials

Needed: – Fundamental computer system skills including Microsoft Word, Windows. – Knowledge/experience with GE RIS and PACS.

License and Certifications

Needed:

  • Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, consisting of digital training needed.
  • XT X-Ray Authorization in torso, extremity, chest and digital imaging required.
  • MA Certificate from a certified school
  • Present CPR Certificate
