Canadian company Hyperstealth established a light-bending material that can produce a working invisibility cloak.
The material, known as Quantum Stealth, can bend light around an object or individual behind it, leaving just the background noticeable. It does not require power, works in any environment and can be scalable to conceal an individual, vehicle, airplane or building.
In addition to invisibility, Quantum Stealth can misshape reality.
Hyperstealth has developed 13 various variations of the product, each with various usages and advantages. For example, one version can make an individual invisible from one angle, however visible from another.
According to the company, the innovation will hopefully have usages outside of the apparent military implications, such as hiding undesirable air conditioning structures atop buildings. (REUTERS).
