BISECTING ANGLE TECHNIQUE/ SHORT CONE TECHNIQUE

featured image

The bisecting angle technique is based on Cieszynski’s rule of isometry, which states that two triangles are equal when they share one complete side and have two equal angles. The receptor is positioned as close as possible to lingual surface of teeth, resting in palate or in floor of mouth. The orientation of receptor, teeth, central ray increases geometric distortion and presents teeth and supporting bone more coronally than its normal anatomic position.
