Provides administrative support including, but not restricted to, the following:
- Takes clients medical history, details relating to the clients visit to the doctor and record vital signs of patients to help the doctor with medical diagnosis
- Prepares patients for doctor examination
- Assists physician with evaluation and treatment of patient
- Helps physician with special treatments
- Carries out standard radiologist tests and oversees the production of x-rays
- Keeps accurate record of all x-ray movies to include proper log entries, x-ray paperwork for jackets and accurate filing of films
- Collaborates the reading of all x-ray films with doctor
- Communicates info to clients relating to preparation of laboratory tests and evaluations Arranges examining room instruments and devices and keeps the analyzing rooms neat and clean
- Initiating and preserving correspondence with clients and insurance coverage companies
- Respects and maintains personal privacy and dignity of patients and ensures client confidentiality at all times
2. Other related obligations:
- Represents the clinic in a professional way in individual, in telephone discussions, and in written correspondence
- Carries out basic functions such as copying, scanning and faxing
- Any other responsibilities as appointed
Education and Experience:
1. CPR Certification authorized by AHA
Understanding, Skills and Capabilities:
- Phlebotomy, EKG
- Essential indications, client assessment
- Administration of medications (Oral, IM, Sub-q, Intradermal, IV
- Ability to work separately
- Strong oral and written interaction skills are important
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Shows a clear understanding of the importance of staff satisfaction
Physical Demands:
People should be able to fulfill established specific physical requirements of the task consisting of sitting at a desk or meeting table, reaching, lifting, pulling, flexing, stooping, twisting, standing and walking.
