NDT Professional II (UT and Xray) JOB SUMMARY Conduct NDT checks/ evaluations for approval/ rejection of hardware based on approved examination criteria.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
LEVEL II: The Level II Person will:
- Have skills and knowledge to set-up and standardize devices, conduct tests, analyze and evaluate for approval or rejection, and file results.
- Be thoroughly acquainted with the scope and limitations of the technique/ approach in which they are accredited.
- Have skills and understanding to conduct system efficiency checks in accordance with the applicable procedure requirement.
- Can offering the necessary assistance and/ or guidance to student’s and Level I workers in the technique/ technique in which they are certified.
- Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the approach as used by TTC.
- Be capable of establishing composed guidelines from authorized general procedures, such instructions will require final approval by a Level III.
- Have basic understanding of item production and inspection innovation.
- Be able to prepare written guidelines, organize, report and record testing results.
- When defined in the composed practice, have standard understanding of airplane or automobile maintenance.
- Be familiar with the numerous qualities of material, such as, type and location of anticipated problems and kind of problems that might be connected with fabrication and production operations.
JOB CREDENTIALS
- Demonstrated experience with interpretation of OEM quality and part requirements in the aerospace, commercial gas turbine, and/or automotive industries.
- Demonstrated experience with Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine Airfoil parts a big plus
- Prospect must possess showed interactions abilities (both technical writing and verbal).
- Candidate should show a sense of seriousness for timeliness in maintaining and enhancing quality systems within a production organization.
- Computer abilities including however not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Task.
Demonstrated experience with having Quality duty for areas within the Quality dept. (calibration, file control, auditing, corrective action, MRB, spec review, item certification, ISO/AS audit preparation and conformance)
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Need to have experience operating in the Quality discipline with particular obligation for aerospace, land-based investment cast and/or machined parts.
Task Requirements:
- Offer training for magnetic particle assessments and liquid penetrant inspections
- Perform Flourescent penetrant examination functions
- Developing and standardizing non-destructive screening
- Prepare parts for non-destructive testing assessment utilizing offered devices and procedures
- Lead requirement and non-standard non-destructive screening
- Processing parts through the complete penetrant evaluation cycle
- Examining metal for flaws and quality purposes using magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant testing
- Inspect metal for problems and quality purposes utilizing magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant screening
- Maintain and carry out maintenance on ultrasonic screening equipment
- Examine, preserve and perform maintenance on ultrasonic screening equipment
- Maintain compliance of evaluation devices
- Maintain serviceability of assessment equipment
- Examine metal fasteners for flaws and quality purposes making use of magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant screening
- Complete everyday evaluation documentation
- Identify problems in strong materials using ultrasonic testing methods
- Perform penetrant, X-ray, and magnetic particle examinations and interpret results
- Perform evaluation on product returns
- Interpreting and completing the process manages needed for penetrant evaluation
- Utilized in the assessment procedure
- Perform helium leakage testing and submit evaluation files
