Offers administrative assistance consisting of, however not limited to, the following:

  • Takes patients medical history, information pertaining to the clients see to the doctor and record important indications of patients to assist the doctor with diagnosis
  • Prepares patients for physician evaluation
  • Helps physician with assessment and treatment of patient
  • Assists doctor with special procedures
  • Carries out basic radiologist tests and oversees the production of x-rays
  • Keeps precise record of all x-ray films to include appropriate log entries, x-ray documents for jackets and precise filing of movies
  • Coordinates the reading of all x-ray films with physician
  • Relays information to patients regarding preparation of laboratory tests and evaluations Arranges taking a look at room instruments and equipment and keeps the examining rooms cool and clean
  • Starting and maintaining correspondence with clients and insurance coverage companies
  • Aspects and preserves personal privacy and dignity of patients and ensures patient privacy at all times

2. Other associated duties:

  • Represents the center in an expert way in individual, in telephone discussions, and in composed correspondence
  • Carries out basic functions such as copying, scanning and faxing
  • Any other tasks as designated

Education and Experience:

1. CPR Accreditation approved by AHA

Knowledge, Abilities and Capabilities:

  • Phlebotomy, EKG
  • Vital signs, patient assessment
  • Administration of medications (Oral, IM, Sub-q, Intradermal, IV
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written interaction skills are vital
  • Attention to accuracy and information
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the value of personnel satisfaction

Physical Demands:

People need to be able to fulfill established specific physical requirements of the task including sitting at a desk or conference table, reaching, lifting, pulling, flexing, stooping, twisting, standing and strolling.
