An X-Ray Technician with Medical Assistant experience carries out regular administrative and scientific tasks to keep the practice of physicians and other health professionals running efficiently. In addition, efficiency of regular radiology research studies common for a physician practice is anticipated. The duties of Radiology Professional differ from office to office, depending on the place and size of the practice and the specialists specialized.

Responsibilities and Responsibilities:

1. Provides administrative support including, however not limited to, the following:

  • Takes patients medical history, information pertaining to the clients see to the doctor and record important indications of clients to help the physician with medical diagnosis
  • Prepares clients for doctor assessment
  • Assists physician with examination and treatment of patient
  • Assists doctor with special treatments
  • Performs standard radiologist tests and oversees the production of x-rays
  • Preserves accurate record of all x-ray movies to include proper log entries, x-ray documentation for coats and accurate filing of movies
  • Collaborates the reading of all x-ray movies with doctor
  • Relays information to patients relating to preparation of lab tests and assessments Arranges analyzing space instruments and devices and keeps the analyzing spaces neat and tidy
  • Initiating and keeping correspondence with clients and insurance companies
  • Respects and keeps privacy and self-respect of clients and guarantees patient confidentiality at all times

2. Other associated responsibilities:

  • Represents the center in an expert way personally, in telephone discussions, and in composed correspondence
  • Carries out fundamental functions such as copying, scanning and faxing
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:

1. High School Diploma or GED needed

2. Minimum two years experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or doctor s workplace

3. 1-3 experience as an x-ray technician carrying out diagnostic radiography

4. Certification by American Windows Registry of Radiographic Technologist license and New Jersey state license

5. Understanding of medical terminology

6. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook is required

7. CPR Accreditation approved by AHA

Understanding, Abilities and Capabilities:

  • Phlebotomy, EKG
  • Crucial signs, patient assessment
  • Administration of medications (Oral, IM, Sub-q, Intradermal, IV
  • Capability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written interaction skills are important
  • Attention to precision and detail
  • Shows a clear understanding of the value of personnel satisfaction

Physical Needs:

Individuals must have the ability to fulfill recognized specific physical requirements of the job consisting of sitting at a desk or conference table, reaching, lifting, pulling, flexing, stooping, twisting, standing and strolling. Capability to use five finger manipulations over extended periods
