An X-Ray Professional with Medical Assistant experience carries out regular administrative and medical tasks to keep the practice of doctors and other health practitioners running efficiently. In addition, efficiency of regular radiology research studies common for a physician practice is anticipated. The tasks of Radiology Specialist differ from office to workplace, depending upon the area and size of the practice and the practitioners specialized.

Responsibilities and Responsibilities:

1. Supplies administrative assistance consisting of, but not restricted to, the following:

  • Takes patients case history, information referring to the clients visit to the doctor and record vital signs of clients to help the physician with medical diagnosis
  • Prepares clients for doctor evaluation
  • Assists doctor with evaluation and treatment of client
  • Assists physician with special treatments
  • Carries out basic radiologist tests and supervises the production of x-rays
  • Maintains precise record of all x-ray films to consist of proper log entries, x-ray documents for jackets and precise filing of films
  • Collaborates the reading of all x-ray movies with doctor
  • Communicates info to clients regarding preparation of laboratory tests and examinations Sets up examining room instruments and devices and keeps the taking a look at spaces neat and tidy
  • Initiating and keeping correspondence with clients and insurance provider
  • Respects and keeps personal privacy and self-respect of clients and guarantees patient confidentiality at all times

2. Other related responsibilities:

  • Represents the center in an expert manner face to face, in telephone conversations, and in composed correspondence
  • Carries out basic functions such as photocopying, scanning and faxing
  • Any other tasks as designated

Education and Experience:

1. High School Diploma or GED needed

2. Minimum two years experience in an x-ray department in a medical facility or doctor s workplace

3. 1-3 experience as an x-ray specialist carrying out diagnostic radiography

4. Certification by American Registry of Radiographic Technologist license and New Jersey state license

5. Knowledge of medical terms

6. Understanding and efficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook is needed

7. CPR Certification authorized by AHA

Understanding, Skills and Abilities:

  • Phlebotomy, EKG
  • Essential signs, client evaluation
  • Administration of medications (Oral, IM, Sub-q, Intradermal, IV
  • Capability to work separately
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities are vital
  • Attention to precision and detail
  • Shows a clear understanding of the significance of staff complete satisfaction

Physical Needs:

Individuals must have the ability to satisfy established particular physical requirements of the task consisting of sitting at a desk or conference table, reaching, lifting, pulling, flexing, stooping, twisting, standing and strolling. Capability to utilize 5 finger manipulations over extended durations
