
With minimum assistance in a team environment, using independent judgement to figure out quality and use, accountable for a wide array of complex evaluation requirements.
OBLIGATIONS:
Duties may include some or all of the following:
Maintain accurate and up?to?date acceptance and rejection records and/or accreditations systems as required by the relevant specs.
Determine approval or rejection after evaluation and/or calibration of parts, tools, instruments xray film. Recognize faulty conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
ASSESSMENT
Perform examination on complex parts utilizing a wide array of measuring and test equipment.
Adapt and develop complex assessment set?ups to inspect sample parts, forgings and castings. Inspect tool and jig designs.
Perform very first post and envelope examinations, source inspections, and/or complex surface area plate set?ups.
Interpret specifications, charts, manuals and other data to get to acceptance or rejection. Suggest changes to supervision. Use mathematics to transform blueprint measurement and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of illustrations, schematics, blueprints, path sheets, travelers, quality instructions, technical engineering requirements, consumer’s requirements and military requirements.
Layout all part qualities onto rough or semi?machined castings, forgings and machine parts to maintain control of machining cycle during manufacturing.
Make own gaging set?ups on surface area plate using block, parallels, clamps, sine plates and V?blocks to take readings with precision measuring instruments.
Adapt assessment devices to inspect standard, non?standard and unique products.
Examine reason for consumer return failures. Perform inspections to relevant requirements within assembly, test and shipping departments. Assist customer/government source inspectors as needed.
CALIBRATION
Perform calibration on complex multi?function electronic measuring and test devices.
Set?up calibration test conditions having various circuit requirements analyzing calibration treatments, requirements, maker’s instructions, or associated files.
Ability to analyze illustrations and electronic schematics.
File and examine historical data to identify calibration periods. Identify and adjust freshly gotten complex electronic equipment.
NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST
Perform daily, weekly and month-to-month equipment and material checks. Carry out pre?inspection and post?inspection cleansing.
Set?up equipment and conduct tests.
Interpret, examine and document evaluation results in accordance with authorized procedures.
Perform total inspections in accordance with suitable specifications, standards and other contractual files.
Operate X?ray devices and movie processor.
Select the method and technique to be utilized for a specific inspection. Prepare and validate the adequacy of evaluation treatments.
Authorize procedures, requirements, standards and other written documents that control the inspection. Conduct or direct the training and assessment of Level I, II and III workers.
Observe all recommended safety guidelines and guidelines and maintain a FOD free workspace. Perform other related obligations.
Task Requirements:
Five years associated inspection experience or demonstrated capability to carry out explained duties. Knowledge of suitable military standards or requirements.
Might be required to be licensed as a Level II Nondestructive Test Inspector in a minimum of three disciplines
or as a Level III Examiner in a minimum of one discipline. Accreditation must remain in accordance with MIL?STD?410 and PES1?29
Needed experience in CMM operations, background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y 14.5.
Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, consumer’s requirements and internal illustrations and treatments.
Thorough understanding of factory mathematics including trigonometry. Knowledge of electro?hydraulic servo systems and the computer IEEE systems. Personal hand tools might be needed.
Might be needed to lift up to 50 pounds.
