If d1 links, the Immediate j2 is guaranteed to link and forces your challenger to guess what you will connect afterwards. While if your challenger obstructs the ij2, they can duck most followup attacks other than f2 (which is why I utilized that string as the example in this video) … the meta involved with this is great and can catch individuals off guard and is simple to strike validate the d1.
