From Afghanistan to South Korea, from Antarctica and now on to Kwajalein in the Marshal Islands, I’ve been working overseas for the past 7 years. It’s been a wild trip full of fun and adventure. In this video I share my experiences and explain how I find my abroad jobs, how I initially found work in Afghanistan while the United States economy was in a horrible economic downturn, and how I continue to find what I consider to be some of the most fulfilling and intriguing abroad jobs.

If you have an interest in becoming an electrician, plumbing, carpenter, HVAC tech, or any other type of tradesperson, the place to begin is with an apprenticeship. If you are considering a profession as an abroad english teacher, I advise getting at least a Batchelor’s degree before getting a TEFL or comparable certification.
